Sunday, July 8th:

11am: Sea Glass Hunt There will be a guided hike for children with the staff of the Kearney House meeting by the entrance to Alpine Picnic Area & Boat Basin. There is a $5, cash-only parking fee​ charged at the area, but admission to the program is free and open to all, and advance registration is not required. The hike covers about 1 miles in around 1.5 hours, including time to explore a beach area and collect sea glass. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

2-4pm: Sustainable Foraging for Better Nutrition & Flavor There will be a talk, short walk, and cooking demonstration with wild food expert “Bobcat” Saunders at the picnic pavilion at the north end of Alpine Picnic Area & Boat Basin. There is a $5, cash-only parking fee charged at the area, but admission to the program is free and open to all, and advance registration is NOT required. The program will be held rain or shine. Participants should dress for the outdoors and wear comfortable, sturdy shoes.
